New operas
We need deep-thinkers as opera composers.
Operas should evoke hope, discuss possibilities and chisel on the door that currently blocks all light. Not displaying a swarm of whining, shrieking babies who groan at the feet of "the power of fate" and cry "Pieta!" – a blazing metal emblem of any Verdian woman protagonist.
We need music that steps out of pedantic ruling, drives emotions right from the guts and construct architecture born from imagination and ecstasy alone. Not calculation, imitation or recitation. Away with the boasting dilettanti! Not qualified as "artists" but mere craftsmen are they.
